Quick + Easy Korean Ground Beef

Quick, healthy meals are a must in our house. A few key ingredients and some simple seasonings are all you need to brand this savory beef bowl.

  • Ground beefiness – We've as well tried this with ground pork, turkey and chicken but our become-to is beef.
  • Shallot – Similar to onion but adds a more concentrated flavour.
  • Ginger – Fresh grated ginger is a must for us, simply in a pinch you can sub ground dried ginger.
  • Sesame oil – Our preferred cooking oil for any Asian inspired dishes.
  • Coconut aminos – Gives the beef that sugariness-salty season, like to soy sauce. These are NOT liquid aminos, see the recipe card notes.
  • Fish sauce – Adds more than salty, umami flavor.
  • Seasonings – Garlic powder, onion pulverization and red pepper flakes give the dish a slightly spicy kick.

Healthy 20-Minute Korean Beef Bowl

This delicious Korean beef bowl is ready in around 20 minutes and is a family-friendly meal. Made with footing beef, serve it with either white rice, cauliflower rice and veggies.

  • ane shallot, diced
  • 2 inches fresh ginger, peeled and grated on a microplane
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 pounds ground beefiness, (run across notes)
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • one teaspoon garlic pulverisation
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • i/2 cup coconut aminos, (run across notes)
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce, (see notes)
  • 4 cups cauliflower rice, (can sub white rice if you're non doing Whole30)
  • 6 cups greens of choice, (chopped romaine, arugula, spinach, etc.)

Optional sauce:

  • ane/4 cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce, (adjust to taste)

Optional toppings:

  • chopped green onions
  • sliced avocado
  • Start by preparing rice to have information technology ready. If serving with cauliflower rice, expect until the beef is about washed as information technology simply takes a few minutes to cook.

  • Die shallot and grate ginger to have information technology ready.

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-loftier heat and add sesame oil. Once hot, add in basis beefiness. Interruption the beef upwardly into small $.25.

  • Add the shallot, ginger, red pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder and mix with the beefiness. Proceed cooking, stirring occasionally, until the meat is browned and developing some crispy bits, about eight minutes.

  • Add the coconut aminos and fish sauce and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

  • If you are making the optional sauce, mix the mayo and hot sauce in a small bowl.

  • Serve beef in a bowl over a bed of greens with rice or cauliflower rice. Top with optional sauce and savor.

  • The recipe can besides be made with ground pork, chicken or turkey.
  • The coconut aminos linked to in the recipe are the aminos we use (Coconut Secret kokosnoot aminos). Braggs brand aminos are NOT the aforementioned affair. Braggs liquid aminos are a soy-based and much saltier than coconut aminos. If you use Braggs aminos, we suggest using only ane-two tbsp to offset and adjusting to taste. You can also omit the salt from the recipe.
  • As an alternative to coconut aminos, you can make your ain using our DIY coconut aminos substitute recipe.
  • If y'all wish to omit the fish sauce, you can supervene upon it with more coconut aminos. Since fish sauce is salty, you may need to add more salt to suit your taste.
